Airbus is the oldest commercial operator of Earth observation satellites. It mobilizes its own constellation of satellites in addition to the public satellites commonly used on the market, to secure the acquisition of an image at the required time in the plant cycle. Its unique and patented image processing chain converts light intensity into very precise agronomic analytics (biphysical parameters). Farmstar is the result of nearly twenty years of partnership between the largest French agricultural technical institutes (Arvalis – Institut du Végétal, Terres Inovia) and Airbus, world leader in satellite imagery. For Farmstar, Airbus also ensures the production and provision of advice to distributors.
